As many people know, the first Friday night of the fair is traditionally known as "East side night", when those that grew up on the east side of Des Moines come to the fair to show their east side pride.
There is no better night then to gather with fellow East High School alumni than on "East side night". And that's exactly what will happen on Friday, August 10 when former classmates of East High School will meet at Stockman's Inn for their 30th high school reunion.
Beginning around 7:00 pm the East High School class of 1982 will gather in and near Stockman's air-conditioned dining room to have a few cold drinks, reaquaint themselves with old friends
and re-live some of the glory days.
